About Decatur
Decatur started trading in October 2014, after Tom Browne moved home from the USA and began wondering why the essence of American food in London was boiled down to Mac and Cheese and Pulled Pork sandwiches.
Following spells selling Oysters, Gumbo and Etouffee across some of Londons finest markets (KERB, Druid St Market), a YBF nominations and a stolen van - they moved into Pamela, in Haggerston, East London in 2015. Critical acclaim followed for Decatur's regional specialties, with their Chargrilled Oysters winning Time Out magazines dish of the year in 2016.
A couple of residencies later and a restaurant was on the horizon in 2020, before COVID-19 changed the world as we know it.
